Free Fly Fishing & Lessons

The Greer Lodge Resort offers five private fly fishing ponds; catch and release only. You don't need a Fishing License to fish on our private trout ponds! We provide free fly fishing equipment and free lessons (in season) for our guests of all ages!

Free Moutain Bikes & Helmets

There are several of great dirt roads located around our resort which are ideal for the whole family to ride on, and you get free Trek mountain bikes and Giro helmets at our Guest Activities center. Take a day to bike ride around town!

Butterfly Lodge Museum in Greer, AZ

The Butterfly Lodge Museum in Greer, AZ is the historic hunting lodge of Indian adventure author James Willard Schultz (1859-1947) and later, the studio-home of his son, Lone Wolf (1882-1970). Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Open Memorial day weekend through Labor day weekend.

The White Mountains offer some of the most unique and rare wildlife in the U.S.A. The very rare Willow Flycatcher has been seen here. Popular sightings include: Antelope, Bald Eagle, Bears, Bobcats, Big Horn Sheep, Coyotes, Deer, Elk, Javalina, Osprey, Raccons, Squirrels, Turkey to name but a few.

Winter Activities

Cross-country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, snowman building and snow mobile trails are available in the area. Greer receives 8' foot of annual snowfall. The Greer Lodge is also only 15 minutes from the popular Sunrise Ski Park where you can enjoy Arizona's best skiing.
