Painted Desert Petrified Forest

The nearby Petrified Forest and Painted Desert are side by side, and an easy day trip from the Greer Lodge.

I spent some time at the Greer Lodge and I have to say that not only was I thoroughly pleased by the cabin I stayed in but the staff and owners were amazing! They truly know how to take your mind off the worries and really relax.

Outstanding, serene, blissful! A little piece of heaven! The ‘purpose’ of my visit was to hunker down someplace quiet to study for my NP board examination. My stay was SO incredible, I extended it as long as I could before the next guests arrived (3 additional nights for a total of 7 nights).

We had a great time in our cabin, right near the creek. My kids loved the nearby hiking and enjoyed all our adventures. Cabin had everything we needed and the beds and pillows were especially soft and nice.
